As part of the Etruscans 85/25 Project, promoted by Regione Toscana and organised by Fondazione Musei Senesi, Comune di San Gimignano, Musei Civici and Opera Laboratori, a series of events dedicated to reflection and discussion on archaeology, art and museum design is taking shape.


Three public encounters will offer the opportunity to explore historical and cultural themes related to Etruscan civilisation, revisit past exhibitions and discover new contemporary interpretations.

Lecture by Valerio Bartoloni
A journey through literature, archaeology and imagination, exploring the relationship between the poet and Etruscan civilisation, with particular focus on the years leading up to the National Etruscan Conference of 1926.

Exhibition of the design projects from the Politecnico di Milano

Lectures by Anna Mazzanti and Raffaella Trocchianesi
An opportunity to discover the proposals by students and researchers from the Politecnico, inspired by the eight exhibitions held in 1985 and designed to engage with the language of contemporary museography.
