On Wednesday 15 April 2026, at 5:00 PM, in the Sala Pegaso of Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati in Florence, the presentation of the work L’età nuova. Umanesimo e Rinascimento will take place.
The work, funded by the Region of Tuscany and scientifically directed by Prof. Michele Ciliberto, is structured in four volumes for a total of over 4,000 pages and brings together critical essays analysing the many aspects of Humanism and the Renaissance: from philosophy to art, from science to literature, through to the history of institutions and ideas.
The editorial project represents a contribution of great importance to the study of an era that profoundly shaped the emergence of modernity, offering updated tools for knowledge and a broad interdisciplinary reflection on the protagonists, themes, and cultural transformations that characterised the transition from the Middle Ages to the modern age.
The presentation will provide an opportunity to explore the contents and objectives of the work through contributions from scholars and experts in the field, in a dialogue that will highlight the relevance of Humanist and Renaissance thought and its value for understanding contemporary culture.
An event dedicated to the promotion of cultural heritage and historical knowledge, inviting the public to rediscover the legacy of Humanism and the Renaissance as a foundation of European cultural identity.
