A treasure trove for the history of science: the online Archives of the Royal Museum of Physics and Natural History

Un tesoro per la storia della scienza: online l'Archivio del Reale Museo di Fisica e Storia Naturale

Much of the Royal Museum of Physics and Natural History Archive (ARMU collection), owned by the University of Florence and housed in the Galileo Museum, are now available for consultation online thanks to a new update.

The collection is one of the most internationally relevant archives for the study of the history of science and scientific museology. It documents the activities of the Royal Museum of Physics and Natural History from 1775 to 1878, in the year of celebration of the 250th anniversary of the institution’s foundation. An extraordinary opportunity for scholars and enthusiasts to learn more about the birth and development of modern science in Tuscany.
