Cultura.toscana.it broadens its horizons to an international audience: for the past few days, in fact, most of its content has also been available in English.
It is now possible to explore the narrative paths, in-depth features, and sites of Tuscany’s cultural heritage even for the many foreign scholars and casual enthusiasts who have visited the portal in recent months.
The translations were handled by the same experts who created the Italian content, in order to maintain the same level of quality.
Even the section dedicated to news — which, from the portal’s homepage, guides visitors to the latest updates published on cultura.toscana.it — has been translated.
For users browsing with their browser set to English, the transition to the translated site happens automatically; for everyone else, accessing the English version is just a click away: simply select the language from the menu and the portal will switch to English — from the texts to the search functionality.
The cover image is an edited version of the photo “Crowd gathered on the steps of the amphitheater in the Boboli Gardens, Florence, probably on the occasion of the visit of the British royals. In the foreground, side by side, the Italian and British flags” from the Alinari Archive. Available here.
